Verifactu 2025: The Essential Guide for Your Clinic

Since Spain’s Anti-Fraud Law came into force, digitizing invoicing processes has become a top priority for all businesses—including hearing care clinics. In our previous post, we explained how to improve electronic billing workflows. Today, we dive into the new Verifactu system, a regulation that will transform how invoices are issued and recorded.

Verifactu is not just a legal requirement—it’s also an opportunity to optimize your processes and ensure traceability for every invoice you issue. In this article, we explain what it is, how it impacts your clinic, and how Audyum can help you stay compliant effortlessly.

Verifactu is a new invoicing system developed by the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) that requires invoices to be generated in a standardized, secure, and verifiable format. It is part of Law 11/2021, which aims to eliminate double accounting software and ensure the integrity of accounting information.

Invoicing systems under Verifactu must:

  • Generate high-integrity, traceable records.

  • Prevent invoice modification without leaving a trace.
  • Allow direct submission of records to the Tax Agency (AEAT).

While Verifactu is not yet mandatory for all sectors, it’s expected to become widely enforced in the coming months. Getting ready now is key to avoiding penalties and staying fully compliant.

For audiology clinics, Verifactu represents a major shift in how billing workflows are managed—especially for those still using manual or outdated systems.

The key changes will include:

  • Updating or replacing your current billing software.
  • Gaining greater control over your fiscal data.
  • Using a technology solution that’s fully compatible with Verifactu.

If your clinic handles multiple patients, services, products, and insurers, automating invoice generation with full traceability is essential.

At Audyum, our CRM is specifically designed for hearing care clinics—and it’s already prepared for Verifactu compliance.

  • We automate invoice creation according to AEAT’s integrity and format standards.
  • Our system generates audit-ready records, prepared for direct submission to the tax authority.

Audyum evolves continuously to keep pace with regulatory changes.

According to the official schedule, Verifactu will be mandatory for businesses and self-employed professionals starting July 1, 2026. From that point on, all clinics will need to issue invoices that meet AEAT’s integrity and traceability requirements.

Although there’s still time, getting ahead now gives you peace of mind, lets you take advantage of public funding, and avoids last-minute rushes.
